Are they day/night returns or actual trip where you go away for a few days?

Thanks for your reply.

Man, some people are greedy.
Sir James, I don't think you'll be able to get hired as a pilot at UPS. The reason is that you can't have any relatives working there and it appears that your brother is, in fact, working as a pilot at UPS. I flew with him many years ago when I was flying for UPS. We were on this trip from Louisville to Ontario, and the conversation drifted to pay scales. At the time, captains were making $72K a year, while f/o's were making $42K and s/o's were making 32K. Anyway, the captain said we were all grossly underpaid, relative to the revenue we were bringing in for the corporation. I agreed. The first officer disagreed, and in fact said "you guys must be kidding, this is more money than I've ever earned in my life." My question to you is: was this guy either your father or your older brother?

It's not a question of being greedy. It's a question of fairness. The pilots and package car drivers (the guys who deliver your package to your house) as well as the guys in the hub, who sort and load those millions of packages each night are what is called "direct labor." They are the ones that make money for the company. UPS (and FedEx for that matter) is a gigantically successful company which still refuses to acknowledge the worth of its pilots. Being an outsider, you might not understand, but rest assured, if you were on the payroll, you'd understand completely.

Please forgive my ignorance, but looking at the charts at the beginning of this thread shows that you cargo guys are FAR from being treated less than worthy by your company. Jetjok, YOU GUYS ARE BEING PAID DOCTOR WAGES! Get off your bad attitude rap against UPS.
