[QUOTE=nightrider;54021]nashmd11,

Think about it, how could they have 200 crews by the end of the yr. 50 a month? not in my experience, how about another company?

Which company within a company do you refer to? If such a company existed wouldn't they already be hired? Hmmm?

When did they call? I think I'm gonna cry when I finally get the call (1 - to get called by the number 1 company I want to work for, 2 - to get out of Mesaba bankruptcy hell that we are going through).

Still hoping for the Sept class,
Chris
Thanks to all the well wishers! My call came Tues Aug 8. The wait was so long that now when the phone rings I have to remind myself that UPS already called! Honestly, I don't think it will feel real till I'm back at 802 Grade Ln. I'm coming from a corporate flying background (loved the flying but needed a schedule for QOL) so I am especially excited about trying the airline side of aviation.

Don't be coy. Tell us who these mystery pilots are and how they are hired, but not numbered.

Default Not management

Not management, I have it from sources that we will be acquiring another company, for their airframes I don't know if that is true or not.

Sorry, I thought we were talking about pilots. Not managers or airframes.

That rumor, has been around in various forms since I can remember. Its a good, persistent one, but this time it doesn't pass the sniff test for one big reason. We can't staff the aircraft we have coming for the next year. So what good are more airframes when we can't fill the one's we already bought? My own black helicopter/conspiracy theory is that the company will continue to grow the management ranks (airline within an airline). They are more flexible than we are due to lack of contract coverage. They also allow the company to expand their span of control over us lovely hourly troublemakers, and provide expanded strike coverage should that happen. Flexibility and control are HUGE for UPS. Just my opinion.

ps Who is the subject of the rumor this time?

I think he means that there would be pilots coming along with the airframes.
