"I think he means that there would be pilots coming along with the airframes."

Still leaves us with the dilemna of how we will staff the ones we already bought. At a 10-1 crew ratio, the additional MDs alone require 300 new crew members. Add in the retirees and the -400s that are coming and we need roughly 400 pilots by the end of 07. Another possibility is that the company just doesn't want to let anyone (especially us) know their plans.

Not to rain on your parade, but you must remember that it used to be, "we are NOT an airline, but a part of a multi-nodal transportation industry" (pre 2001), but now that the pax airlines are down in the dumps, we are now officially an "airline."

In any case, welcome aboard! I think you'll enjoy the job.

Maybe they think that when your TA passes, that they can get that much more productivity out of you.

When did they call? I think I'm gonna cry when I finally get the call (1 - to get called by the number 1 company I want to work for, 2 - to get out of Mesaba bankruptcy hell that we are going through).

Still hoping for the Sept class,
Chris
Would love to see another Mesaba type over here!!! Spent some time over at MES too.
