Flyer, If you've got the FE rating and you don't know that you then don't need to retake the FEX test, you shouldn't be allowed continue in the process. However, that said, if it were up to me, I'd hire you immediately, based entirely on your Avatar. Now those are some beautiful...... eyes:D

Fe

I also don't understand, apparently. I took the FE written a while back (2007?). That needs to be retaken?

Soul, nope you can apply as you are!

Yes, he must retake. It has to be within the last two years and being 121 airline employed doesn't count for FedEx. That is the way I read it...could be wrong of course.

Soul,
Tryin to clarify.... If you have your FE rating/certificate(written with the practical), then you don't need to take the written again(because you have the rating, current or not). If you have taken the FE written only and it has not been within the past 2 years - then yes you have to retake the written.

I guess that checks. I looked at the certificate and it had an expiration date 2 years later. Any other speed bumps good to know ahead of time? Thanks for the info.

When you say certificate, are you talking about a sheet of paper that has test results on it, or are you talking about the little green credit card-sized document that says

"Flight Engineer
Certificate Number XXXXXXXXX
Date of Issue 18 Feb XXXX"

on the front and on the back says

" XII Ratings

Flight Engineer
Turbojet Powered"

It has no expiration date.

The sheet of paper has to be less than 2 years old for FDX. The FE license is good forever unless revoked by the FAA.
