Default FDX- c/over and vacation

To busy reading the t.a. and studying for re-current to look this up.
I've got a little c/over into April and a vacation slot that almost touches the c/over. (Misses by 2 days). If I get a trip at the beginning af April, which of the two would knock out the trip? ( Assuming the trip touches both).
Thanks, o't

I believe the carry in conflict would happen before the VAC is applied to your calendar.

Getting back to this... I have c/over r-days, now a trip will actually knock out my r-days and then vacation will knock out the trip?

If you have carry-over Rdays and a trip conflicts. Which gets knocked out the Rdays or the trip?

You almost never lose the carry over. If you have a long trip in the new month (can't remember length specified 120 hrs away I think) you can request to keep to keep the trip in the new month.
Bottom line you will keep the Rdays!

Unless it's a long trip (can't remember the length), the R days will knock out the trip and you would have needed to knockout the carryover last month. It's why you often get a VAC notice for the next month after the one you're currently bidding.

Almost never lose the c/o except

From section 25

3. A pilot's current bid period schedule shall take precedence over a subsequent bid period award except as follows:
a. If a pilot has R-day(s) that carryover into a bid period in which a pilot has a regular line:
i. any carryover R-days in conflict with a trip shall be dropped, and be eligible for make-up;
and
ii. any carryover R-days on which no trip was assigned shall be dropped, and be eligible for make-up, unless the pilot elects to retain those R-day(s) during the Bid Period Processing Conflict Input Window, as provided in Section 25.E.2.e. (above).
b. To avoid a phase-in conflict, a pilot with a trip in the new bid period in excess of 120 hours TAFB shall, during the Bid Period Processing Conflict Input Window, have the ability to submit to drop a carryover trip in the current bid period of less than 72 hours TAFB duration as follows:
i. Such submission shall be made during the Bid Period Processing Conflict Input Window.

Thanks R1200RT, but now with Underdog's posting I am confused again..

Guess I'm just gonna have to call futures..

Just got off phone with futures. Regular line (which will be my case), Rdays go away.

I stand corrected, been so long since I could hold a Regular Line.
