I guess I'm lucky we aren't filing for bankruptcy....
Not that I'm complaining about the money, somehow I'll get by with the $275k I'll make next year. What irks me is all of the international scheduling rules we GAVE away. What are we going to negotiate with next time? There's nothing left to give away.

I heard that scheduling was a gain for you guys, but I guess not?

There were many gains. Of course it's not very cool to actually admit that. It's much cooler to ***** and whine about how we got screwed...at 275K a year...

I AM NOT *****ing and whining. Although it's easy for you to characterize my post, I challenge you that for each scheduling improvement you could show me in the international arena (where all of our future growth will be), I'll show you two items we gave away.
Yeah, $223/hour for this new contract sounds like a lot of money, you know why? Because it is! However, as a top scale Captain, for the five years before 9/11 I was making $220/hour LESS than other wide body Captains working for pax airlines that never made as much profit in two years than we did in one quarter.
So now after paying my dues for 16 years, I'm finally making some money? And you're castigating me for this fact? Get a grip. I've earned every cent, and then some.
