Default Oct. 3rd class

There is a huge class on Oct. 3rd. I just got the call from them yesterday. I don't have specifics on how many are in the class, but he said that it was significant. Enjoy!

Everything is relative. A class size in 1994 was over 35 new hires in one class. And multiple classes over 20.

Congrats on getting the call for class Free Flyer. Did they mention what seat and equipment the Oct 3rd class would be for?

Default class size

Nash...

I don't recall having that large a class in '94. To be sure, they were larger than the 10-12 size currently training. The largest may have been close to 30...most were in the low 20's. They hired about 380 (some of whom left for aa and dal when recalled and united when hired) but not sure how many are left...

36 New Hires Nov. 16th! I was Hired in early 94 and a coworker was hired in that class. It was the largest class for the year. About 10 from that class went back to AA and DL.

Default 94 hires

Nash...

I will have to bow to your memory...my '94 braincells have taken a huge beating over the years....

Wonder if we will ever get to hiring that many in a year...hope it happens and they keep the hiring spigot wide open! Give some of these poolies a chance to dry off and enjoy some free beer!

Free Flyer,

How long was it from the day of your medical exam to the day you got called for class?

That may be true back in 1994 when we didn't quite start with 1200 pilots and added 380. But now we have almost 2800 pilots, and they all need AQP, SVT, and all the other training events that eat up sim time, the bottleneck is now device time, so 10-12 is as big as you can expect for a while.

I'd like to know this too... Do you have time to go home on the weekends or on consecutive days off?

Also, I heard the company puts new hires up in a hotel. Which one is it?
