You will never had an agreement that some won't vote against. Did putting that tag on your bag improve things? If we agree that being unified is for the collective good, how is doing something that is contrary to that helpful?

This is truly pathetic. The company gets what they wanted and all they had to do was offer us a few measly crumbs. They are laughing their asses off at us right now. Our selfish, greedy, indifferent and fractured pilot group just proved, once again, to the company that we can be easily and cheaply duped. This company is making BILLIONS of dollars and needed the FDA. We gave it to them for COLA. All the loose language and unaddressed sections in the TA will be coming back to haunt us. What is even more disgraceful is that 16% (over 600 people didn't care enough to even vote). What message do you think that sends the company? We're lemmings and we'll all jump off a cliff if we're told there's a shiny new nickel at the bottom and we'll get it quick if we just jump.

I understand that you will never have a 100% vote for something. And because I am in the minority on this vote doesnt automatically make me feel radical opposition. The fact that I believe this is a terrible move on our part, just like I did for the FDA LOA, makes me want to voice my disapproval. As is my right. I will not blindly pretend that we will not be affected in a very negative way by this decision.

And no, putting the bag tag on did not improve things, except for the fact that I was able to voice my opinion, just like you are doing now. We have a looonnnggg way to go before our group has any idea about leverage, analyzing an agreement separate from what our leaders tell us, and fighting for what we deserve. I could go on, but think I have said enough, I think! All JMO of course.

Oh, and being unified for unity sake can sometimes be putting your head in the sand.

Well ... at least it's a better deal for the FDA guys. And a small pay COLA for the rest of us. It probably beats a pay cut (talk with your legacy airline buds about that deal)?

Maybe we can make lemonade out of our lemons?

It should be an interesting union meeting next week ...

Yay. It passed.

Now we'll have an industry standard safety program that nobody else had to give one red cent for.

With MOAB Part Deux coming, I'd like everyone's opinion on which MEM airframe (aside from the obvious 777) will best protect my 4a2b line values this time around.

I'd go with the 737 or A380. Or, start applying for committee work that you can go full time with.

Once again, we are our own worst enemy.

I reserve the right to say "I told ya so!" to all the yes voters when things go south.
