Where in sec 29 does it say that If you quit the union now you can be "grandfarted" into NOT paying maitenance dues. I only see 60 days mentioned. Is this the Aug date comes from?

there is a letter of agreement from the union to the company that states the date Aug 26th. This letter is at the bottom of the TA

It doesn't.

The date is the Date the TA was reached by the Negotiating Committee, August 26, 2006, and it can be found in the "Transition to Union Security" letter found here: https://crewroom.alpa.org/fdx/Deskto...cumentID=33146

For a number of reasons I believe this to be the best approach, and the best date. Any earlier and we would run in to problems with changing the terms of employment. Any later and we'd have morons running for the door to get exempted from paying dues.

It will be self-critiquing. At that point they'll learn about Wellpoint and our improved healthcare when they seek medical attention for their swollen noses.
