Default FDX vaca slide

Question: I have vacation in early June, and in May I slid the vacation 5 days farther into June. Can I slide the vacation footprint again in the June adjustment window, or am I limited to a one time max 5 day slide?

Section 7.E.2.a includes this line: A pilot may adjust his vacation period by sliding it up to a maximum of 5 days in either direction.

That seems to cover part of your question. I think the other part is taken care of by the language that says: A pilot may enter a vacation slide submission during the Conflict Input Window immediately before the bid period in which a trip(s) affected by the slide (or the vacation period itself, if no trip is affected)... That "the" apparently means only one slide per vacation since you can only adjust the slide in the bid period prior to when the vacation happens.

But if you're vacation, as slid, covers part of 2 bid months, you can continue to expand in the second bid month to knock out more trips up to the vacation hours plus 6 limit....I think.

BH -

I went through this with my MAY vacation. I slid both APR and MAY vacations in MAR, then the 'decision maker' changed 'her' mind. So, I attempted a second slide with the MAY vacation in APR. Only allowed one slide.

I contacted the Company and the Union. They're both using a 1999 document, and essentially the excuse of "that's the way it's always been". Doesn't matter whether you're in the CIC window and trying to comply with our current CBA - it's all back to the way it's always been. The question neither could answer was - if it's done in the CIC window, who cares how many times we slide. The VTOs aren't built until after that window closes anyway.

Good luck.
