Before I bother the SIG with this, trip 2312/21May was just assigned to an RB guy 49:30 from showtime. Wondering if this is legal? The trip does show in the next 2 local base days but it is not within 40.5 hours as 25.G.3.a stipulates.
Doesn't affect me - just keeping CRS honest. Can they early assign like that?

That section reads :
" At 0700 LBT each day, any trip with 120 hours TAFB or more, with a showtime during the next two local base days that is assigned to a pilot who is on sick leave shall be available in open time for Bid Line Adjustments as provided in Section 25.L. At 1000 LBT, such trips shall become available for assignment by CRS."
Since the trip you are upset about is 176 hr TAFB, it clearly falls under the exception and can be assigned anytime in the two local base days previous to showtime after 1000LBT on the 19th, today.

got it thanks. Original FO went on emergency so probably same as sick. Like I said I don't care about the trip at all - just making sure nothing weird with X-pairing drops. Looks like all on the up and up. thanks.

They usually don't assign trips that early even under these circumstances. Probably afraid that the guy would call in sick. Lots of sick calls going on these days since it is impossible to alter your R schedule any other way.....
