I know of three current applicants that have over twice those flying hours, along with college degrees, check pilot experience, etc. So far they have not heard a word from FedEx...........

It's the same old story if you don't have squadron buddies in place you need good old fashioned luck. Experience has very little to do with it. And that is not a dis on Fed Ex that is just how it goes in this business. As hiring picks up and the supply of qualified guys goes down it becomes more likely to get a call. I've seen it before and I'll see it again.

Hi FedEx peeps,
When filling out the application, the education portion asks for various GPAs. Though I'd like to provide these, I don't remember, nor do I think I can gain access to my high school transcripts. What useful advice do any of you have for me?

There has to be an entertaining story behind this...

Your HS can't provide a copy of your transcript because................. ?
"The Principal's dog ate all the transcripts," or,
"My HS and all the records vanished without a trace. I suspect aliens."

Assuming a plausable story there, how about your college admissions office, (which certainly has a copy in your application file to that institution)?

Luckily, the aliens only stole transcripts from the other high school. I thought transcripts were only kept on file for X amount of years. I haven't set foot on my high school campus for almost 15 years. I also haven't contacted them yet, so you may be right.

I didn't have to meet any entry requirements for the second college I attended (the 141 school) because I had already received a degree from another college which I attended without having to meet entry requirements because my mother worked there. The first college doesn't have my transcripts because part of the family's benefits were attending free without discrimination.

I went to a tiny tiny school, we graduated 35 people in 1996. They still had my transcripts. They had to go to the basement and dig them out.

I am not sure if I understand the question. In the employment section for each job listed. The only answers are yes and no.

"Was/Is this a DOT covered position?"

Thanks

Along these same lines; I'm under the impression that if an aircraft doesn't require an SIC, and a person was not acting as PIC, then those hours are completely unaccounted for in FedEx's application. An example of this would be a person receiving dual-instruction in small, multi-engine trainer, prior to being multi-engine rated. It's not loggable as PIC, SIC, or Instructor Time, which are the three forms of flight time that FedEx lists. Am I correct in this line of thinking? I just want to make 100% sure that flight time they are asking for is not being left out of the picture. Thanks.
