Default FDX Borinquen(BQN) Deadhead Deviation?

Anyone deviated in or out BQN yet? It looks like not alot of carriers serve it. Am I missing something? How far is our layover hotel from the airport? Thanks.

I have deadheaded out on CO (737) to EWR. It seems like the hotel isn't very far away (they land at the same field, the terminal is walking distance to FDX). Hope this helps ...

If you are referring to the BQN-SDQ trip, you can JS on us on Sat afternoon, and use the hotel in lieu of a DH for the an extra day if you need to. Maybe better than going thru EWR, which I did last month. The hotel is not even 5 min from the terminal. On the return, you can JS on us at 2100 to MEM on the MD10. I got back in from SDQ on a Friday at 1900, and rode the MD to MEM when I did the trip.

Jet Blue flies direct from MCO.

As for transportation, call the scheduled GT. He is a great guy, and if he cannot pick you up, he will be able to arrange something for you.

The scheduled transportation provider is great! He is very dependable!!

Spirit also flies to BQN thru FLL, where you can connect w/anyone (or us).

Is Mike (Miguel) still doing the crew transportation? I'm dating myself, but we started using him in the early 80's. He's a great gent. Hope he's still on the payroll.

"Mikey" was still there the last time I was there ... about 3 months ago.

Every trip he talks about his rotator cuff surgery (from loading and unloading heavy pilot bags I assume) and how the FedEx transportation folks were about to replace him (with someone cheaper?) until a bunch of pilots came to his defense.

Much better service into/out of SJU, and then ground transport to BQN. 1:40+/- About $180 plus tip.

Default Thanks...

... for all the info. I think jumpseating back on us might be the easiest. Plus I can use the DH $$$ on other DH's.
