Wait until you read the definition of Passover Pay in the CBA. If you are in a narrow body and have MEM MD bid, newbies in the MD will not trigger passover pay, because they are not in a higher paying position, (first year pay) until their first anniversary. Same thing happened to me with the purple nuggets.
I am thrilled to see new guys come on the property but that is a bad deal (and big pay loss) for all the other guys that have MEM MD11 on their bid.

"60. PASSOVER PAY
An hourly rate of pay which is higher than the hourly rate of pay a pilot otherwise would earn and to which such pilot may be entitled as a result of a junior pilot’s activation out of seniority order."
After further searching the CBA and barring any odd situations, a first year narrow body SO would be entitled to receive $65.32 (1st year WB FO pay as of Mar '12 bid period) upon activation of a junior pilot (completion of IOE). Subsequently, a second year SO would be entitled to $148.20 (2nd year WB FO pay) upon activation of a junior pilot.
I searched the CBA for a clear statement dealing with the link between passover pay and a junior pilot filling a crew position (both equipment and domicile) that a senior pilot holds in a vacancy bid. Anyone know where that might be?
CBA lawyers please chime in if I am incorrect.
A hearty welcome to all the new FedEx lottery winners.
Live long and prosper.

The Senior gets Passover pay if:
1. He holds an award from a Bid. Meaning that he actually was awarded WB Seat in your above example.
2. The Junior pilot awarded the same seat/Domicle from the Same or subsequent Bid is activated into that Seat (Completes IOE) ahead of the more Senior Pilot who was awarded same seat/Domicile.
If you are saying that a narrow body FO should get Passover just because there is a more Junior pilot activated into a WB seat the Junior Pilot "Could have held" Passover does not apply. (i.e. New Hires going to ANC) If there were unfilled vacancies from previous bids that were filled by new hires no passover pay applies.
Clear as Mud?

Redeye has it correct, in order to get passover pay you have to bid the seat. If I recall correctly in the last bid after all was said and done there were openings in all FO seats except the 777.
Quite a few new hires have gone to the right seat in PANC already. I'm pretty sure no one is getting passover pay for this.
All you 727/757 FOs stop your drolling.

Ok...so passover question.
I'm a narrow body F/O, with a MD11 training date. I just got slide back two months to allow these 15 new-hires into the FedEx world. Will I get passover when they get activated?
Just the fact please: yes or no? >.>

Passover Pay
FdxPylot - I was a direct hire to the right seat of the 72 and awarded ANC MD-11 FO slot at about the 8 month point. My training was delayed almost 12 months for the Nuggets going to ANC. At the 1 year anniversary of my hire - my pay jumped to Widebody FO pay while remaining on the 72.
Pretty sure it was passover pay, and not sure if the rules have changed since.

I believe the MD11 new hires are going to ANC.
If this is the case, no you will not get it.
If your award is MEM you only get Passover when a junior pilot activates in MEM from the same bid award as yours or a subsequent one.
This was a grievance settlement with the aftermath of 4a2b and the Massive ANC displacement that ensued.
