UPS recall question.

Well, I'm certainly not as smart as some of you Academy types, but lifting the Open Time ban while simultaneously instituting a voluntary time-off program seems a bit hard to square. I'm not sure what the conspiracy theory is, but I'm sure there is one.

You need to explain the above quoted statement to me. How does giving the green light to pickup open time (basically work overtime) keep more people on property? UPS has the same number of pilots flying more block hours.
But, it does keep the Hogs who feed at the open time trough happy.
Remember the union election is just around the corner and furloughed members can't vote but the Hogs can.

I am sure that one or two of the company moles will explain the conspiracy in short order. They will do it here because they don't have posting access to the B&G or are too afraid to say it where they will or could be held accountable.

The way it was explained to me was, we didn't waste any negotiating capital on the time-off programs. We want to keep these programs and to tinker with it would cause the company to remove it.
