Well, I'm certainly not as smart as some of you Academy types, but lifting the Open Time ban while simultaneously instituting a voluntary time-off program seems a bit hard to square. I'm not sure what the conspiracy theory is, but I'm sure there is one.

But, it does keep the Hogs who feed at the open time trough happy. Remember the union election is just around the corner and furloughed members can't vote but the Hogs can.
Well, gee, why don't you call RT and have him explain it to you.

I am sure that one or two of the company moles will explain the conspiracy in short order. They will do it here because they don't have posting access to the B&G or are too afraid to say it where they will or could be held accountable.

That doesn't really shed any light on the paradoxical open-time-ban-removal/voluntary-time-off program. Does it?

Not according to the union disclaimer on the front page of the bar and grill unless you haven't read it yet!

The way it was explained to me was, we didn't waste any negotiating capital on the time-off programs. We want to keep these programs and to tinker with it would cause the company to remove it.
