Wow, I hope for the sake of 95% of us, this rumor is not true. If so, the ALPA roadshows will follow in the not too distant future. Educate yourselves and fellow crewmembers about the possible consequences of voting in pref bidding. I truly wouldn't even consider it for a 20% pay-rate increase, truly. As has been repeated on this thread, pref bid's dire effects on vacation, and many other QOL factors, cannot be compensated for with $ (hopefully the majority sees it that way). I hope something bright and shiny isn't offered in return for pref bidding, because our majority might be blinded by it, and take the bait. "Resist temptation" will be the call

Our vacation bidding flexibility is the only thing that allows me to safely do this job. Whether it is several months in a row night hub turning or international flying, my sleep debt continually builds. But after using my vacation to set aside 3-4 weeks of off time, my batteries are recharged and I feel great. Take away my ability to do that and at some point my health and flying performance will suffer. So if one of the goals of PBS is to allow only one week of guaranteed time off, we cannot allow that to happen.

It's not worth the money.
Another nice bonus to PBS. Open time goes away, and it becomes harder and harder to fix the turd of a schedule that you get. That is the point of PBS, more efficient line pilots and less reserves.

If You haven't worked under PBS, find someone who has and ask them about it. You'll find a universal preference for our current FedEx system over PBS and an attitude as expressed by those on this board that have worked under both that this should be a non starter, period.
PBS presents such a destruction to our QOL, Esp. To anyone under 50%, that no amount of money or incentive would allow me to vote for a contract with it in it.
