HotMamaPilot - Ve haf our vays!

T-tail - It's because labor and land is soooooo cheap down there. Not so much for the pilot's, but certainly for the box loaders, plus the cost of living is low, so it's a good deal. As well, they have some fantastic women in the South. Besides, for UPS and FedEx, Louisberg and Mempho are sort of centrally located within the US.

What about a relative of my wife. Her uncle is an employee with UPS, not in Air Ops dept?

I also hope no one from KY is reading this to take in all the slanderous comments.
We are here and I must say I'm surprised that people who call themselves "professionals" can make such ignorant and sweeping generalizations of people based on geography. I think it's proof of your own idiocy. I'm a line guy like the rest of us not a corporate goon. Nonetheless proud to be from the Bluegrass state.

Have any of you actually seen Kentucky? Louisville and the surrounding area is very beautiful.

Yes, it is one of the things UPS asks. I remember it from when I interviewed. If they find out, they will be more than happy to fire you just to make an example. We have several Husband/Wife pairs flying together; but, they met here and then got married. Several managers have gotten away with breaking the rule, but not us hourly employees.
