I just had Alaska in ANC tell me that they would not call in order for me to ride in the cockpit I had to be checked out in CASS. You can still ride in the back but they are over sold for the next two day.
That sucks.
But if I was in their shoes I wouldn't trust whoever was on the other end of the phone either. It's silly the BM would even suggest it. I seriously doubt FedEx Jumpseat admin would let a pilot of another airline Jumpseat without being verified in CASS. No matter who they talked to on the phone.
