Default Status of recalls at UPS?

What is the current information about recalls at UPS. Rumor has everyone back in the first quarter of 2013. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks!

That's the rumor going around, as well as the possibility of some hiring next year as well...

Flew with an instructor last week who said they are looking for more help in the training center for beginning of next year. Also looking for more IOE guys on the 75. Rumor is we are going to get at least 30% of of USPS contract. No official recall rumors, but things may look good for 2013. Or this could all be typical psychological warfare from UPS, which is not uncommon during peak. Make us feel good for a month, then pull the rug out from under us.

Has anyone determined if the TNT deal going through would increase block hours?

Or can they outsource that?

Or is this still pie in the sky since the European commission is destroying the profitability of the deal by forcing divisions to be spun off?

Resolution on three issues will determine pilot requirements next year; TNT deal, Postal contract, and FAA ruling on rest rules. If all three happen we will be short pilots.

You forgot to mention the potential shakeup within the NURP ranks (that is $16M the Accenture study that showed the inefficiencies of carrying so many paper shufflers).

It really depends upon the results of the USPS contract bids.

The contract allows them to use non IPA crews for a period of one year after the aquisition.

Maybe ups will just fire them, poetic justice if you ask me. They had their chance, they get what they deserve at this point.
