It still is at RIO but should be heading north soon.

Agreed.... I just found it "funny" today when I saw it. While not contracts, I guess 761CX and 319CM have a few missions in the works when they come out of MX checks and 762CX is going to be doing DEN-SLC again for the foreseeable future as far as I know (until 557CM comes on-line at least).

557 was supposed to fly to ILN last weekend for conformity. It is supposed to go on ATI certificate so it will sit until 75 manuals and differences course gets approved. Because it's on ATI's certificate, the 4 Capital guys who just finished their training cannot fly it due to seniority issues.

What are those seniority issues?

According to LOA#2, for each CCI crew cross-trained to the 767 one CVG 757 line will be made available for bid by cross-trained ATI pilots. If those first four CCI pilots were cross-trained then two CVG lines would be open for bid by cross-trained ATI crews.

I don't know of any provisions that would prevent a CCI crew from flying a CVG 757 on the ATI certificate once they have received the necessary ATI training.

Didn't the ISL arbitration decision impose added cross bidding restrictions?

Bloch put a two-year fence on the filling of vacancies and displacements. His award does not address how lines or trips would be assigned. Reading the award, I'm not sure that he understood the implications of cross-trained 75/76 crews on his award as it seems like he wanted to separate them but didn't.

B757 in DHL colors showed up in ILN today, I think it's N557CM.

More airplane movement news....

N151GX left ILN headed to GLH last night for painting after its MX check. So it appears 151GX is going to be the aircraft used to do 757 ETOPS and 757 combi certification.

The one big road block I see is that we are still two seperate companies with two Certificates as the merger is not complete. They might have been trained on ATI books, but are they not still CCI employees?
Doesn't scope say "only ATI pilots shall fly aircraft on the ATI certificate?

I know this is splitting hairs. But they recalled 4 CCI employees to fly an aircraft on the ATI certificate. Am I wrong here?

Yes and no. The four CCI pilots were all senior 727 captains. They were not ever furloughed with all of the other 727 pilots. That is because they were the last four pilots who had been awarded 757 slots. Of course the company wanted to furlough them with everyone else but the MEC talked mgmt into putting them through training.
