Oops...poor timing by the French

Open mouth, insert foot
I think to say a democratically elected people, who overwhelmingly indicated there negative interest in the Iraq war; shows, in hindsight, how much smarter they were (about invading Iraq).
Regarding unwavering support for Hezbollah, I take it your position is any one who questions any Israeli diplomatic (or lack there of) or military action is
a stooge of their foes. We send 3 billion a year to Israel and have no meaning input to how it furthers the peace of Israel or its neighbors.
I think its time to start thinking for ourselves and not just parrot the Francophobic BS of our (former) Sec Def.

Thats a crock of Sh**. France was invaded and fought 3 years before the US entered WWI. Granted, we didn't have to fight, it wasn't our country invaded, but the French paid dearly for thier involvement....

I'd say democrats in general. I feel the war in Iraq is important. I might not like it and wish like hell they weren't there. However I feel it's important as do many others. Time will tell that's for sure. However those same democratically elected people in Iraq are pretty sure it was a good thing too.

Go to www.google.com and type in "French Military Victories" then hit "I feel lucky". I got this.

Two questions:
1. Why did the French Government ban fireworks displays at EuroDisney?
2. Why are there trees along the Champs Elysee?
Answers:
1. Every time they'd set them off, the Army base next door would surrender.
2. Germans prefer marching in the shade.

By what standard are we doing the right thing??? Three thousand US servicemen/women dead since the start. Three thousand Seven hundred and nine Iraqis dead in October 2006, a new high. Can you point to anything, other than the capture of Saddam, where we have achieved a lasting goal for the better of the people of Iraq, the region, or increased our security by way of this conflict?

And Dandy Don, have you lost your mind! If you think that we're getting nothing from Israel for the monies that we ship over to them, you really don't understand Middle East politics. They are the only democratic state in that area, and they have the balls and paranoia to do what has to be done for the entire region. We have no stronger friend than that country.
As for the French, they make really good breads and cheeses.
