Default FedEx sleep rooms

I haven't been through MEM in a while. How is the construction of the new sleep rooms going? Any idea when they will be in use?

The grand opening will probably conicide with the next contract being signed. I heard someone on a crew bus comment on how many sleep facilities the Chinese could have built in the last six months. I simply laughed (right before I yawned) at the sadness in that statement.

For those who enjoy/need to take a short nap before the AM outbound, have fun sleeping in the metro terminal under the lights or in the movie theater. Good luck just finding a place to sit! Lots of changes and FCIF course corrections combined with just a little bit of extra fatigue is a recipie for....

A bed, a plastic chair, a shelf, a hook, and the worlds most annoying ringing phones.

If the new beds are like the ones in IND they will break louder than my knees in no time.

Regardless of the company studies on sleep the rooms will be a balmy 79 degrees in the summer to comply with company edict 47, so don't complain it is not our fault.

Yet the Company's own Ground School states sleep is best between 62 and 65 degrees F. To deviate much from this would be hypocritical, wouldn't it? Are you listening managers?

No way the senior vice president of facilities maintenance is going to be pushed around by the VP of flight ops.
