UPS Nov. hiring update

The November 16th class is the most recent:

MD11 FO: 1
DC8 FO: 1
DC8 SO: 6
727 FO: 1
727 SO: 6

The final class of 2006 is December 14th:

747 Classic FO: 1
MD11 FO: 6
757/767 Int'l FO: 9

No 2007 class dates yet.

UPS hired 169 pilots in 2006, with about 2/3 of those being hired in the second half. 16 total classes.

Interviewing Monday thru Friday, 3-6 pilots each day. Hiring to continue through 2007, with one to two classes per month.

I have a good friend who is in the DEC. class. The 75/76 slots are for the SDFZ.

For those in the know:

Does UPS have some sort of "review board" to select new-hires or the ones conducting the interview have the final say?

Just curious.

THanks for the update, Dog. I notice your seniority list is shrinking (was at 2850-now back to 2800) on APC's UPS page. Is this a typo?

Maybe not, but only temporary. Lots of the "Fleet Captains' retiring after the ratification. I saw the list for January, 20 plus folks out the door. UPS hiring now to catch up and for the MD's and 744's coming next year.
