Well, ok, forget the AOC. Anybody (of the "assorted people we've met on the Internet" group) willing to let me stop at your house so I can do some laundry?

We have Walmarts in Seattle, but believe it or not, I have never been into one. I guess I'm afraid I might encounter one of those People of Walmart. Or worse, someone will take a picture of me and post it to that website!

The other places listed sound, uh, interesting. I'll take it under advisement.

What's going on in the I-240 loop? Elvis sightings?

Posted speed on the I-240 loop is 55. Could have saved the money and not bothered to put up the signs. Drove it last week. Doing 72 (the last time I could look at the speedometer) and I was creating a slowdown in the trafiic flow. Construction zone on the east side posted at 45. Slowed to 55 . Lots of folks telling me by hand gestures that I was the number 1 driver on the loop. Lots of alternate routes that keep your blood pressure in check.
Not unique to MEM. Drove around ATL a few months ago. Just about the same. Go with the flow and don't even look at the speedometer. Signs should be changed to read "Suggested Speed".

I'm shocked no one has mentioned memphis BBQ yet. Are you kidding me? Get some delish food and check out downtown MEM. Go to Beale St. and hear some live tunes.

Memphis Redbirds baseball, and BBQ nachos and an 8-dollar beer. The only good thing about MEM---except the 8-dollar beer price tag.

Call public relations over on Hacks Cross. They provide a tour of the hub and it is really an impressive sight. I have taken several VIPs and they loved it. The only drawback is that it is taken at night just before the push. You watch a million packages move from incoming aircraft, to the out going aircraft and all the procedures to accomplish this task. Worth the time.
