Short answer, they can't. At least not easily. ABX has no pax authority. I'm sure they could if they put the effort and time on it. But if they could, why didn't they do it to begin with? Why did they go through the trouble of merging Cappy if all they brought over were 3-4 757 and a bunch of low pay crews? Now they are all higher paying pilots with better work rules.

I won't speak to the transfer of 767s because that wouldn't make sense, but pay cut would be 24-29% for Captains depending on tenure and 20-23% for FOs.
I can see a somewhat reduced pay scale for 737s due to the smaller airplane generating less revenue, but that combined with a CVG base and terms that preclude commuting on the DHL system make this unworkable.

That typo (loose vs. lose) might confuse some who don't know the contract or LOA.
Under this LOA, the B737 flying in CVG for DHL would not be home-based, it would be CVG-based and the commuter protection would require a backup flight which precludes commuting inbound on the DHL system. The home-basing for the 757/767/DC8 flying would remain unchanged.
