How many 737's are they talking about? Would that make pay around $85,000 for Captains, and $64,000 for First Officers? Just curious.

Up to 12 737.

capt 10 yr 127.75 x 728 = 93002.00 (13 bid units at 56 hrs)
fo 10 yr 87.91 x 728 = 63998.00

Why can't you commute on the DHL system?

Because the LOA requires one to have a backup flight when commuting and if using the DHL system, there would be no backup, unless commuting a full day/night early.

What's your management worried about using the DHL system to commute on? It's common practice in the express industry to jumpseat on the system to start a trip.

That's the whole issue the ATI guys are having with this LOA, it is so poorly conceived by either the company or the "representatives".

Yes.
We are being watched and they want us to be fully rested before you do STBY, RSV or fly your line. You cannot commute to CVG on the inbound DHL flight which leaves at 8 pm (for example), then expect to be on duty and fly your trip that same night. You will have to commute in that morning, sleep all day to be rested that evening. Basically you're wasting an extra day off.
Some airlines only have RJ service into CVG. Imagine 12 B737 crews all trying to fight for jumpseats to CVG at about the same time on the same day.

Thumbs up How about SDF?

Hey,

I know that its over an hour down the road, but how about UPS out of SDF? UPS is great to jumpseat on and there are shuttles running to CVG. No, its not perfect but certainly better than everyone trying to CVG. In addition, Southwest flies into SDF quite frequently thus enhancing your SDF jumpseat options.

By the way, how did seniorityfall between ATI and Cappy from the SLI? Out of the 170!? furloughed, where did they hit worse, ATI or Cappy. Best of luck to all

Are ABX guys allowed to jumpseat into a trip the same night on the DHL system? If so, why the hangup on letting ATI guys do the same thing?

Don't really know who got hit the worst, guess it depends on who you ask. They arbitrator had a formula. The top guys are all ATI, then it went 1 to 1, then 2 to 1, etc...
For example, my buddy had 6-7 years at Capital and he's complaining that he lost 3 years seniority as a result of the ISL.
