Much respect for the ABX and ATI crews who disagree with your assessment, INCLUDING guys furloughed and on the street. They understood that unless a line is drawn, there is no bottom.
If 737 rates are established at simply just above the regional level, how can the regional pilots ever hope to fight for increases?

The Southern LOA for the 737's was only a few dollars less an hour than their current rates for the 747 and 777.
First year pay for captain=105 F/O=60
12 year pay @ 150 for captain and 95 for F/O
Unfortunately, that is what their union reps used to push the vote through. "Look it's almost what we are making now and it is a much smaller aircraft." The pay is only a small portion of what they gave up. Home basing and QOL issues are gonna sting big time.

If I were there, I'd bid it to get the 73 type and then leave and get on with SWA.

Is SAI hiring? I can just see TONS of young folks drooling over the prospect of what the brain suggested - get on, get a 737 type rating, and move onto SWA. Pay? Who cares, the almighty 737 type rating is priceless!!
