I personally know two Southern furloughs at Atlas. One has significant military flying/command experience, the other has 1000's of Airbus PIC time. They would likely have gotten the interview without the Southern experience.
That said, there are at least ten Southern guys over at NCA on contracts. And that's not a bad gig.

So, what is the latest at Southern? Is the APC profile up to date? 4 B-777s and 4 B-747s? The 777s are all for DHL right? What about the 747s? I see one always in Miami at the Centurion / Sky Lease Cargo ramp. Is that being leased to them?

4 777s all flying for DHL.
2 1/2 747-400s, One on AMC, one flying for centurion, and once shared with World, operating ad hoc military and as a spare.
No 777s on order. Sold options a while ago.
Contract to fly 5 or 6 737s for DHL, out of CVG and CCS. Trying to find planes and someone to convert them to freighters. Rumor has 60 pilots heading to 737 school in MIA in January.
185 non-furloughed pilots
Union: Teamsters 1224
Home based. 737 crews to be CVG based
CASS to be implemented 'any day now' for the last 6 months. (But 737 pilots will be home based until CASS is implemented)
737 pay rates slightly less than WB rates. With a 61 hour guarantee.
737 per diem $2.00/hr (domestic)
401(k), yes
401 (k) matching, no
