Default FDX-Personal Travel thru Global Travel

Had my Form B rejected for not having travel certification test. I thought crewmembers were exempt from that... Anyone know if that changed? Already got some incorrect info from travel so before calling them again, what says the masses?

Thanks in advance.

That's the one... Anything to add in the form of an answer?

12-20-2012: FDX Discount personal travel

12-28-2012: Is it just me....non-rev travel CBT.

ALPA stood up to The Company and pointed out that they cannot arbitrarily impose testing requirements on pilots without negotiating a change to our CBA.

No, wait, sorry, that didn't happen. I was dreaming. We were in "Interim Discussions." ALPA stood by and did nothing. Go along to get along.

If that's not clear enough ...

Yes, you have to take the test.

Twice a year.

Yes you do - print out the FAQ or whatever sheet it is before - almost all the answers are on that. Ck with global travel after and they can confirm you passed and are qualified

Still bitter about the recall there, TonyC?

I'm sure you'll set me (us all) straight, but remind me - when was personal travel and it's associated eligibility requirements and procedures included as a negotiated benefit in our CBA?

It must give you great comfort and a wee bit of delight to fall back on that when you have nothing of substance to add to the conversation.

When?

That would be the first CBA, some 15 years ago.

§ 26.I. Interline and Other Employee Services and Discounts
1. Consistent with the Company's interline agreements with other carriers, if any, all pilots covered under this Agreement and applicable family members and dependents shall be entitled to the same reduced fare privileges generally afforded or available to full-time Company employees and their families.
I am fairly certain that computer-based training, including a test, which must be accomplished on Company property using not just a Company computer, but a Company computer which has a sound card, speakers, and a Flash player is not part of an interline agreement with American Airlines, United Airlines, US Air, or any other airline that I know of. In fact, I doubt very seriously that it is part of our interline agreement with Southwest Airlines.

It is not consistent with the Company's interline agreements with those carriers to require such a test, yet it has been imposed on us by The Company by fiat.

At least the union didn't say we know what's best for you stop questioning us. I bet they were busying working slightly more important issues.
