Default FX iPad How to save a trip?

Will the FltDeck Pro software allow you to save a trip which would include the origin, destination, and en route info? This would be handy of the flight is operated multiple times in a month.

Yes, when you have the route input window open, right next to the New Flight button is a button which says Save. This button saves your present route and then when you wish to recall it, select the button named Flights which is several inches to the right of the Save button.

Since you're asking this question, you may want to make sure you're using the most recent version of FD P. The save option is new in the latest version and pretty obvious. Unless you remove the old version, you'll have two icons available, one for each. If you never made the upgrade, you'll need to do that to be able to save.

That adds another question - How can I go into any given FltDeck Pro and see what version it is? The icons look alike and don't say on the icon what version it is. I can't find anything within the program that says what version it is. I believe I have the latest version as auto-downloaded from the company but I do not have those buttons referenced above.

The newer FDPro app icon is purple, the older one is navy blue.

There is a subtle color difference in the version's icons.
To see the actual version info: Go to settings. Scroll down to the FD P icon(s). If you see two, you have both versions installed. If you select them, you can view the version ID under "account info". Original is 2.0.7 The newest is 2.1.0

Installation of the newest version was/is not automatic. Since it is a completely new program (hence the two icons), you have to go through the same activation process that was used for the original version. Instructions in the iPad section of PFC.

Supposedly, the older version will auto-delete at the end of Nov. If you prefer, you can delete it now.

Adler,

Thanks. I had the purple icon but it did not show the version number under Settings-Account info. I decided to just reinstall. It is currently downloading all the data. Again !. But at least I'll have the ability to save flight routes/airports. Now it shows the version in the Settings. This should resolve my desire to save plans. Now I just wish it would keep the data from the prior version when Jepp decides they need another program change. Not gonna happen though. Again, thanks to all that reached out to help.

Saving the flights is a great feature. It will save the route, departure/destination/alternate airports, and all the charts selected. If you make changes on your next flight, just hit "save" again to update. I don't really use the highlighter feature, but I'm pretty sure highlights will also be saved for future reference. Pretty sweet setup if you're flying the same pairing consistently, specially with shorter, multiple legs. The stored flight plans have saved me a ton of time during flight prep.

I don't know why but I had the latest version of FltDeck Pro installed yet it didn't have these features. Maybe it got interrupted while downloading??? In any case, I did a Reinstall and now I have the Save function. Thanks for the advise.

Swipe two fingers across the screen to go between plates you've selected for your trip kit.
