Boeing sold their Wichita Division a few years and now turn around and buy from them. It was a B-29, B-47 and B-52 factory.

Pilot was confused after landing
not surprising. Still, probably not as confused as MEMBrain during any given moment.

Having gone through what this crew is about to experience (which will likely take several months), I would respectfully suggest to all of you folks who would love to crucify them, keep it to yourself. Right now, these folks are probably beating themselves up enough without your help.
Or, just go ahead and kick them in the b***s and feel proud of yourself.
Just for fun, on your next few legs, count how many times you make a mistake that was caught by someone else. Then imagine the worst outcome had the other guy not fixed your screw up.

Suggest you look at MSG 107. It was Marble Mountain, April 1969, 3200 ft long, very narrow, #2&3 eng over runway edge.
