FDX: Tmobile vs. ATT

ANC is roaming and the default was GCI w/no data. But in manual mode you could connect to ATT and Verizon both w/4G.
Just switched late last month and looking forward to trying out the Free international data later this month.

I would love to change over to T-mobile for the contract free phones and international data... 2 things are keeping me from switching: 1. Coverage in my city (Memphis/Germantown) is not great with T-Mobile and 2. Since almost everyone I talk to is on ATT, I can pay for the lowest minutes plan since talking to them doesn't cost me anything. Right now, with discount, I pay $68 a month for unlimited data (grandfathered) and 450 min a month (rollover bank has over 2,000 minutes) for my iphone. It's going to be tough to get away from that...

Be careful of promotional "teaser" rates. How long do you think T-mobile can keep up those prices? AT&T does however need to offer international roaming at a reasonable price. Currently it's outrageous. AT&T continues to add towers. Last year in northern WI I had very spotty coverage and the Edge network for data. Now it's solid 4G everywhere up there in the sticks. I'm sure they are doing similar work elsewhere. Meanwhile T-Mobile is just trying to survive.

Was a long time T-Mobile customer 10+ years (since the VoiceStream days in actually) and ditched them in August of 2012 because I brought my phone into the store for a software update. They bricked my phone and then refused to replace it because it was not under warranty.
I had AT&T before that and wasn't happy, but that was long before the days of texting and data.
Pretty happy with Verizon right now. All I need to do is pop in an international prepaid SIM if I don't get service.

I switched over 1 week after Tmobile offered their international unlimited text and data... I love it going on 2 months now. The data is only 2g which equates to 126k... Still plenty to check vips, get emails, get maps.... just no streaming. Although if you want to pay an additional 10-20$, Tmobile queries you with an informational text everytime you jump countries. Calls recieved or made to US numbers are .20 cents a minute while overseas. Covereage overseas and in Anchorage have been excellent. The only place its been spotty has been in rural areas of the US. I currently have 5 lines and am paying 160 US. Im really digging this service. I asked my previous provider to match (verison) ant they told me no way... Therefore....I'm now no longer a verison customer....The same type of use with Verison was well over 300 dollars a month...
