I think we all know it's just a bunch of spin and hype. If we had gotten a new contract when the old one was amendable, it would be ancient history by now. I didn't see any mention of the Purple Promise payouts -- the new "profit sharing" program. Of course the pilots are the scapegoats, they're the ones in the EVIL union. (Hidden message to all other employees is "don't you ever organize or YOU'LL be responsible for bad things happening to the Company, too.")

FedEx, whose stock fell more than 4 percent in electronic trading before the stock market opening, reported net income of $511 million, or $1.64 a share, for the fiscal second quarter ended Nov. 30, compared with $471 million, or $1.53 a share, a year earlier.
Wall Street analysts had expected $1.76 per share.
