I wonder what the APU fuel usage increase was the week following the last APU policy missive?
I wonder how many distracting cockpit conversations tonight will center on the latest BM email?

Hopefully someone will runoff a couple 100 copies tonight in the hub for the F/Os to read.

Hey BM, for every email or fcif you send to us, make sure you send one to the morons who have withheld a contract from us for the last 39 months. You might also clue them into how ugly this peak will be without a contract.

I don't know, you can't fault him for clarifying what some of the distractions are, after getting it wrong on the last letter. If there are added distractions, it's not our upcoming vacations or kids graduations. It would be all the issues surrounding the (lack of) contract, sick leave harassment, and I don't think there is any debate at all about this. Everybody is upset about not having a contract after all this time, there is no disagreement or debate that I've heard.
I agree that people shouldn't let these frustrations distract them in the cockpit. But I can't imagine that there is any danger in discussing things on the crew or hotel bus, or in the crew room. It's on our mind, and we can't pretend otherwise. If the company truly is concerned about that, as soon as they start negotiating honestly, we will have a contract.

"...If the company truly is concerned..."
They are not "truly" concerned. They could care less.
Broken jets, SE, freight not moving- yes, anything else no.
Obviously they aren't even concerned about increased health care utilization with the sick policy of dr notes when they are not necessary.
Speaks VOLUMEs about "truly cares"
