Quote: Membrain. The court fines for the union was for a Sick out by the MIA crews. Get your **** together. Not an open time ban. Your showing your ignorance like Seinfeld.

You are the one that's ignorant. Another cargo union got slapped by their company and the court by not picking up the historic amount of open time, thereby starting an illegal "job action".

Quote: The first time you go through SDF in the middle of the night you will look at all the gray hair and think that these guys are all ready for retirement. Reality, most are not that old , this is what night freight at UPS does to you. The last sentence of Bobs comments are very important, everyone and I mean everyone currently at UPS has worked under tougher conditions at UPS then a new hire will now experience. In excess of 10% of the Top one hundred are out on medical ..
Took a UPS jumpseater from LAX to SEA one time. We get to talking and by looking at him I started asking about retirement plans and how things look at UPS and about punching out. [As in, I thought this guy was at least 60]. Casually he's like, naw I still have time I'm 44.

Shoulda seen the deer in headlights look I had at that point! I couldn't believe it. The poor guy, his face, the complexion, etc, he looked 60.

How do you interpret these two paragraphs from the link you provided?
