Quote: He is the worst of the UPS managers. No longer MIA CP.
Even the other Managers don't like him . I would find another recommendation.
Good luck to all, we really do have a really good bunch of pilots to fly with and a good union with a profitable company.

Double- Check that box, guys!
Are you able to see your application after submitting?
I can only pull up that it's complete but can't review it.

I see the same page. I think if it says, "Application On File,"
You're good.

Quote: After i applied I got taken to the "thanks for applying" screen. I dont recall the url after I applied, but when you log back on to the app window, does it say that the status is "on file" and "yes" under complete? Also, I haven't recived a confirmation email saying that the app has been received like many other airlines will send. Has anyone esle gotten or not gotten this email? Just curious as to where I stand.

Thanks

Does it say "active" or "on file" under status? Mine says
active" under status and "yes" under complete.

a mac issue maybe?

Mine also says this "Your application is complete. If you wish to change any information, click on the links below to edit. Changes can be made up to the time of your scheduled meeting." on the "applications" page when you click on "my Applications" and then "select".

I have looked everywhere for a missed "submit" or "apply" button.

Mine says Status - "On File" and Active - "Yes".

If I click "Select" on My Applications, it simply says "Application On File" with a big CONTINUE arrow...which takes me back to My Applications.

Looking through my browser history, I too had the MSG_PILOT_FAILED_SCORE in there.

Recalled pilots have been assigned to A-300 and 757SDF / Domestic.

Where the company would put a new hired is a guess . One thing is certain you will get displaced repeatedly, and moved from one aircraft and base as a junior pilot. Commuting is going to be difficult due to your schedule or you will have to move, keep this in mind for the family or a spouse with a career. The bottom of the list schedules are tough enough that we have 327 First officers Bypassing upgrade to avoid the bottom of the list, note this is approximately 20% of the FO seniority list that will take a huge reduction in compensation for a better quality of life.
So are you saying that 327 FO's are not upgrading, and staying put because they would be at the bottom of the seniority list as far as being a CA?

Interesting. I tried to apply again and it said " you have already applied" …… no idea why mine is "active" along with that other note.

I sure wish I had a "scheduled appointment"

They would rather be senior FO's than be at or near the bottom of the Captain list. Seniority is EVERYTHING. Upgrading means, reserve or Base line trips, working most holidays, no summer vacation, and little choice in training. Sometimes, the pay difference is just not worth it!

Yes , we have highly capable FO's at the top of the FO list who are bypassing upgrade for quality of life.

As well there are VERY senior FOs that are holding onto their hometown trip...they could easily hold week on/week off trips but for personal reasons they stay in the right seat. Ups does not have an "up or out" policy such as swa. Ups will pay capt retirement pay if you have operated one revenue leg as a capt. Many will delay upgrade due to quality of life, high spousal income, mil duty, etc. Unlike some retirement plans, you don't have to accumulate years in the left seat to get the full benefit of a left seat retirement.
