Not exactly. I was in another pool at the same time and they did hire me. They pay pretty well, but not UPS money. The moral of the story is apply EVERYWHERE and only stop when you have landed where you want to be.

But for 100+ that were HIRED in 2007, the furlough took quite a toll, and it wasn't just monetary loses ... just sayin'

Apparently shoelu has the right attitude ,
Dumping the 2007 pool was a typical UPS move. Not even a phone call, or a letter to invite those candidates to re-interview.

Maybe that is why they hired off the street out of SENIORITY order during the furlough......
