Gentlemen, we got some nice new grey and orange chairs in the AOC coffee lounge. It's a sweet set up. And a great place to sit down as a crew and discuss new and better ways we can save every drop of fuel we can. Because every drop counts.

And now we can give them to each other!
Man this makes me feel great heading into peak --- I'm now motivated to go "above & beyond" --- especially during the Holiday Season
I think we should all nominate our Negotiating Committee members -- and see if they get the message

Know a Crewmember Deserving of a BZ?
Oct 13, 2014 Flight Management
As FedEx Express pilots, the skill, precision, and experience required to safely complete our flight missions 24/7 every day is an impressive accomplishment.
A crewmember's job is one of the most technical and unique of any profession, and day in and day out we do that job well in a variety of flight environments.
Sometimes our duties require us to take actions that demand a greater degree of judgment and decision making.
It's a special "above and beyond" moment that leads to a positive outcome that benefits all our stakeholders in areas such as safety, customer service, operations and more.
We always want to recognize and acknowledge the good work of our crews.
That's why we have had a Bravo Zulu program in place for many years.
Generally speaking, a member of our management team will recommend a BZ for a pilot or flight crew.
But that's just one part of the nomination equation.
Pilots also have the ability to make BZ recommendations.
It's an easy, simple process we want you to be aware of.
All you have to do is use the POR system.
Just go to "Fleet Management" where the drop down will have "Bravo Zulu/Exceptional Performance-Crewmembers".
Or, if you prefer, just type in Bravo Zulu in the keyword and you will see multiple locations where BZs may be filed for different departments.
Either way, it's easy to start the process to recognize exceptional service by fellow crewmembers.
Once the data is submitted it's then reviewed by Flight Management as part of the validation process to ensure that award criteria is met.
We hope you will take advantage of this process for the BZ program so that great jobs above and beyond are brought to everyone's attention.
We all want our pilots to be recognized when their actions are deserving.
Your support is appreciated.

When I first saw the headline, I thought it said "Known Crewmember" which would have been something useful and meaningful. But, on second glance, it's just another useless and meaningless blurb from the pretenders.
