[QUOTE=brownie;1756952]Just pick on someone then cuss em out and use profanity. You'll get what you wish for maybe not permanently but for a good while[/]

Instead of profanity, what about multiple nudity violations, preferably female.

Thanks to all for your inputs, expertise, and spirited discussion.

I've repeatedly requested my account be cancelled by the powers that be here on APC without even a basic response. Good luck finding the link to cancel your membership.

Maybe a moderator can show some stones and make it happen.
Best of luck to you all.

I'm out. NK
wasn't this plea posted once or twice before?

Reads like the so-called representative of a deceased individual who wants banking details so they fan share some sort of inheritance or lottery fortune.

Yeah. A bunch of side boob, except from the front.

He should get banned for signing NK at the end of his comments instead of NKA...you know...if we want to get technical about it!

Actually, he makes a valid point. There have been cases were posts were subpoenaed. I specifically am familiar with several members of a scuba forum being sued over their reviews and comments concerning a dive operator. It ended up costing the board and a handful of members quite a bit of money. So, I can see where one would desire to have their history on a forum erased.

I wonder if that site would have the IP addresses for members that are no longer registered? It might depend on how much info a forum maintains on a user and on a deleted account.

My (sports) board uses different software than this one, but in my case, IP addresses are attached to posts, not users. When I delete a user, all posts by that person aren't removed, but instead just appear as from a 'guest', with the originating IP address still attached. So deleting the user won't help - you have to delete the problematic posts.

And yes, the board owners are legally liable for what's posted by the membership - that's why moderation can get pretty heavy handed when people start crossing lines.
