If management is worried about identifying uniforms, they should consider all the employees on the ramp. Domestically I can't tell the loaders from the ramp agents to the mechanics to the dg specialist. The're al wearing dark navy blue in the middle of the night on dark ramps.

I think it is especially important for crew cohesiveness to coordinate undergarments. I think the female captains need to make sure and contact their FO's to make sure they are wearing bras.

New vs old
In a few years, the way you'll tell a Capt from an F/O will be the Capt will have the old parka with no "rank"....and the F/O will have the new one with three stripes.....
Therefore i imagine they will tell us to pitch the old one. This was the lead item they started the Capts course with a few years ago. I remembered us all scratching our heads thinking "this is what is considered important around here?".... I also remember thinking that whoever came up with this idea didn't realize that over half (I believe) of our crew force doesn't fly with RFO's (hence no email) and thought about where the hub turning F/O flying with a different Capt each night was going to store all of his/her outer garments now that they took our lockers. :( |
