Well, looks like they've already taken that missive off of pfc. Lawyers must not have liked it.

I'm sure the labor attorneys TOLD them to take it down.

It was an interesting article in that it talks about cultural inertia. The culture at FedEx was the job needs to get done. Do what you have to do. That was the problem initially with the stabilized approach concept, we were going to get there and it was going to be on time. That's changed. I think we do a good job of that now. The interesting thing for me is that the company has beat it in to us now that we're not worthy of a contract, just an expense they must deal with. They've beat it into us now long enough that that is the culture. The intertia of the cultural change has come about. My attitude now is I do my job and collect a paycheck, period. Nothing else. Too bad but that's the culture and I've finally come to accept that with the help of the company.

Probably went something like: "Guys, guys.....it's so simple, maybe you need a refresher course!!"

"Uh.... do you idiots want even the slightest chance that the NMB will take your minimal efforts at negotiating seriously? Then I suggest you may want to stop publically shining a spotlight on the millions of dollars in fuel the pilots were largely responsible for saving you while you continue to attempt to extract concessions from them and cry poor. The quarterly statement is bad enough but we can't hide that. We don't need you bragging on the extra cash they saved you on top of the record profits while you continue to screw them over."

I found that article to be extremely offensive and very tone deaf. Add to it Joe Pearsons diatribe about us being selfish and greedy. And they wonder why the culture stinks right now. Unbelievable. I stopped LTAET immediately after reading Pearson's article. Now I'm going to start the APU after every landing. It's now all about comfort and convenience for me. These delusional idiots running flight ops need to be fired (Bowman, Castle, et al).
