Depends on how many hours they're banking.
62 hours at $85 an hour or 85 hours at $62 an hour is the same take home. I guess the real question is what is more valuable 747 SIC or RJ PIC?

K2 (B727 Captains and F/O's are leaving). If he quoted K4, he knows who K2 is.

I am not aware of any pilots leaving K4 for a regional... well actually there was one.... and he quit the regional after OE and is now driving a truck.... frankly he was better suited to drive a truck

Everts is currently hiring for the DC-9 in ANC and the MD-80 home based in the Lower 48. Pay is significantly higher than Regionals. Two pilots recently left for Atlas.

Answer: RJ TPIC.

Thanks for clarifying, makes more sense. Still (a little) surprised about the 727 captains going to a regional though but if the desired career path is a legacy or LCC and the calls for interviews did not come, I get it.

He is not full of himself. He is 100% correct. 2500 TT with no turbine PIC is nothing today. There are FO's out there with 8-9000 hours and several different type ratings. While some nepotism might help this guy out, on paper to most employers he's got a lot of hard work paying some dues before he's competitive.
Why are you so offended and reactive to the truth? Seems like too many people are entitled to jobs they haven't earned.
