I think they should use an airline with previous express experience such as ABX!

Biggest problem with this plan, IMO, is the fact that people may not want strangers coming to their house. UPS, FedEx, USPS is one thing because they are uniformed employees and can be traced should a problem occur. But people with a minor background check and delivering to people's doorstep cries robbery, sexual assault, etc. Lots of liability.

New TV mini-series in the works patterned off "The Craigslist Killer"

"The Amazon Rapists"

FedEx/UPS/USPS all use contractors today in one fashion or another. FedEx in particular is very heavily into contractors for home delivery. I don't think the UPS/FX sales guy/girl can go into a customer and make the pitch, use us so your customers don't get raped is a real effective pitch...

The simplest supply chain to use an integrator it is Amazon Dock->Truck->Integrator Dock->Truck->Customer.

Do a little LEAN Six Sigma Kung Fu and if you are an Amazon Supply Chain Engineer (or an 8yr old) you can figure out some waste that can easily be cut out.

Amazon Dock->Customer

Time, Motion, Waiting, & Defects reduced = $$$

So people will climb in a car with someone(UBER) but won't open their front door for the Amazon guy? I don't see that as a huge problem

My FedEx delivery guy is kind of a dick, but I always open for him, in case it's required to sign for a package. However, I don't open the door for a random stranger that isn't obviously there for a delivery or a service I'm expecting. Some random person without a uniform, with their personal car....if I haven't ordered a pizza, nobody is answering the door.

Funny, not exactly. But we live in a somewhat isolated area. There is no reason for someone to just be walking by. If they aren't there at our request, they are trying to sell us something or convert us, and we aren't buying!
