Yeah, I saw on another site that ATI was over staffed. The guy was told that they never furlough before Thanksgiving.
Sad story. You can't feel sorry for people if they hit the street there. You should properly research any potential employer.

Well, at least someone is making money. We don't, never have, probably never will.
Staffing :
I did the math on the last bid and figured we could drop 20 and still easily cover known flying and have reserves.
We had 82 bidding Capt and 57 bidding FO's on the last bid...There are some guys in upgrade and guys doing initial IOE too. Pretty lop sided....plus we are only getting a couple more planes.

Wish our Union would work out a deal for furloughed guys to go to ABX. Just like they came to ATI

I think that's kinda harsh
Lotsa guys here could never get a job at a major and have no where to go.
We are no longer going to take weak Union stance anymore. In fact the next time it even appears so I'm sure there would be a recall and you'd probably see ALPA decertified shortly after.

stay away from this place. A fellow pilot friend of mines who is flying for them just told me that they wont be hiring until 2017 again. So anyone going right now is just going for a tour and visit of wilmington, ohio. Infact i wont be surprised if they start furloughing by end of the year as they are short staffed on training instructors and overstaffed in pilots. Dont fall for the trap, would stay away from this place. I am glad I did not go for them as my friend helped me out here.
