I'd imagine if attrition outpaced recruitment, then there would be pressure on management to get something put together to attract talent. Or do people feel that they'd rather beach contract(s) and lose flying before they pay another dime?
with all the hiring.... -1 for August.

The deliveries will continue. They just announced a new 747 ACMI contract with DHL. It appears that Atlas is just planning to compensate for attrition by increasing recruitment.

Is the union doing anything like Spirit? They apparently have workshops to help pilots move on to the big 3. It's one way to speed up attrition, I'm not sure how effective they have been, but I don't think there's anything the company can do to stop them.

If you can't stop people from coming, get them out quickly, I guess is their thought process. Either way the goal is to become understaffed putting pressure on management.

You should float the idea of getting a retro check, that may speed things up!

It hasn't helped Frontier, and some of them will be getting a very big retro check.

We've already missed the original target for the 20 Amazon airplanes. Maybe they'll delay/defer some. Maybe they'll reduce reserve coverage. Maybe they'll... Who knows?

Per yesterday's P2P call: management is currently requesting relief from DHL, AMZ, (and brown and purple during peak) from the customer's reserve requirements because we do not have enough pilots on property to meet our contractual requirements.

Only the beginning.
ALL instructors are being sent to the line for 4the Qtr. there will be no new hire training. Attrition will continue. Already low in pilots? Going to get much worse.

Wouldn't this prove the union's point? If you become understaffed, at some point the company will have to figure out why. I'd imagine the company is being told unless you improve pay, people will not show up.

Attrition outpacing hiring is a very good thing during contract negotiations.
