Swift Air - The truth

Yosemite Sam was also responsible for signing off and continued rubber stamping line checks for that other miracle poster child LB.
Probably has a rewards card for the cafeteria at the FSDO by now.

"good old boys" group
Hard to blame the newest 13 for the taking the opportunity to upgrade. Low time, low experience, bearly airworthy old airplanes, and even lower lime, lower experienced, new hire F/O's, and a lack of effective training is a recipe for something bad to happen.
My recommendation to the new 13. Take care of your self, your license. They will CHEW you up, and SPIT you out like a bad batch of tabacco.

Shared responsibility. Safety Culture.
These guys are at the CORE of why this company has all these problems. There was a well placed source that said the CP has long lost his currency. Had not taken a sim ride, or had a valid medical for more than 8 months. But remains CP. There is another group of Good Old Boys that are past 65, but continue to fly " so called " part 91 flights. As long as these people are around doing the dirty work for the likes of BVL, JC, we will continue with the high turn over rates.

PILOTS. The most experienced people have left, or were pushed. The Pilot training department was recently hollowed out, at a time when we need the most experienced people, training the LEAST experienced group of Pilots available on the market. Just read the threads above.
This management TEAM have become the Frank Lorenzo of the charter airline business.
I am moving on, because I have had enough. But these guys need to be gone as well, all of them. Most of them cant get hired anywhere else, but anyone that has left to another company, keep an eye out for these guys on your hiring list.

Aviation Safety is a shared responsibility. For Mechanics and Pilots alike. Mechanics, well trained and experienced, keek the aircraft airworthy. Pilots, well trained and experienced, are the last gate, last chance to stop the holes in the Swiss Cheese from lining up. But when you get a management team that does everything they can to undermine these two groups, foster an unsafe culture, they need to be REMOVED. Daily, we see undermanned, insufficient parts, tools, equipment. The most experienced MX people have left.

The president of my last 135 use to say all the time 'Were a one crash, even one off the runway airline". He'd come and talk to the pilots all the time and give us updates on the operation, every time as was ready to walk away he'd ask "What are you gonna do on an approach if it doesn't look or feel right?" The answer had better be 'Go Around'. That's real leadership, there are NO true leaders here

Same Chief Pilot that has been there for a long time and he has done a fantastic job despite what the vocal minority here seem to believe. This forums is an echo chamber for "a million people could do a better job than X" despite the truth.

I don't understand that either.
You have such a steller reputation.
You are so admired and respected by your pairs, and co workers.
It is so right for you to come on here to defend yourself.
Somebody....
PLEASE, PLEASE show me some love.....
But wait a minute.
That has to be EARNED.
