No furloughs, about 60 took VLOA's, and most of the junior people were forced to burn vacation time this month. No clue what next month will bring

Probably the same.... they just need to raise the days off at 60MMG for the meantime.

First DHL 737-800 is in GSO hopefully gets online soon.

The company has accepted the governments money so nobody will be laid off or fired during this time. They have asked those who can take vacations/personal time to do so to help alleviate some of the payroll but everyone is getting their full pay for their regular time. No overtime being approved and no bonus forms. People can take LOAs, 63 have already done so, for between 30 and 60 days. After that they will have to reapply for a new LOA if they want to be gone longer.

Rumors state we are potentially picking up another 2 planes from another company, we just started working on the cargo planes to pick up that business and we have stuff in the works right now with near future deals to keep money flowing. Swift/iAero gets a lot of flack on this site but we probably couldn't have handled this better when you compare it to all these other companies having to furlough, fire, lay off employees.

You haven't gotten any updates because knowing this information there isn't really anything negative to say about this company during this so its not fun for these trolls to come here and bash because its hard to find another airline taking care of their employees better during all this. The moment this covid-19 stuff starts to let up and business picks up in the airlines you will have the same four or five people doomsaying everything we do with no proof to back it up and things will be back to normal here.

CREDIBILITY
What was the source of your information. This kind of information should be, would be, great...
If it was coming from a credible source. It should be atributed to someone.

REPUTATION...
The company has a reputation for going back on their word. I refer back to the pay raise / longevity bonus. Still processing that one.
I'LL beleive it when it happens.

The email is saying 5 acft for DHL to be delivered month by month till October.

1 April
1 may
1 june
1 August
1 October

Obviously this was all supposed to begin last fall so as always timelines subject to change.

They’re hoping some of our business like casinos will restart in June. I’m hopefully but skeptical as doubt a lot of seniors will be traveling to gamble.

Some of our vacation flying I skated for July and August.

Might be one acft doing fire fighter hauling in June for fire season.

We all have a job and even those in the training pipeline will be finished at some point. It’s been crazy but they have made an effort to not furlough even though it’s a situation of negative income with half the fleet parked. The cares act will hopefully just be able to push us over the hump and have some normalcy after.

I can only hope we will be able to re-surge as even some of our competitors are not able to stay in the game. Right now it’s survival mode and I know ready reserve is a pain but they want all hands on deck. Forcing vacation just keeps productivity up vs people sitting around doing nothing, which means when things start turning around every pilot will be available.

Not having their eggs in one basket has been the companies saving grace and now further cargo growth will put us in a more stable position.

Says the guy wanting to bash things online anonymously. Yes, we should all just take your word for how bad the company is right now, right? We are keeping people employed during a period of time where other aviation companies have been more than willing to fire people. What has your company done to take care of you during this time? Are you still getting full pay for the next few months? Did they move up your vacation time early before your normal time so you could take some time off? Are you able to take an LOA for 60-90 days and come back to work and have the LOA easily approved?
