I Remeber two Eastern aviators, carrying then, candidate Mike Pence, almost taking a commercial onto the Grand Central Parkway, by La Guardia Airport, where commercial vehicles are not allowed. There were two, supposedly current qualified, airmen that allowed their jet to violate prohibited airspace.

Man you are clueless.

No, he is referring to UPS in BHM.

Kinda funny how on another thread you were bragging how you want to finish your career and show others your vast experience.

How about, if the automation does "ANYTHING YOU DON'T LIKE", you fix the automation. People immediately kicking off the automation just show how little you understand about it.

And before you claim your vast experience, not knowing one of the hallmark accidents of the past 15 years shows how little you really know.

Have a good friend there, a 777 captain. Zero flying. He flew only about 150 hours in all of 2024, and only about 20 total in the past three months. Just about everyone has to go to the sim every three months for bounces.

Did DOD cut the umbilical cord? Or just focusing all efforts on the Swift 2.0 ops?

Cool EAL/EAX Pilot Pay

FYI, everyone:
If you’re considering flying at EAL or EAX, please be aware that as of February 2025, monthly pay is now based on a 72 block hour guarantee. There are no additional credit (overage) hours unless you fly beyond 72 block hours.

This means that short-call standby, simulator time, hotel sit days, or any credit time will not count unless your actual flight time exceeds 72 block hours. The 72-hour block is calculated based on an 18-day month, with 4 hours of pay credit per day (18 x 4 = 72-hour guarantee). These are now effectively salaried positions.

Be cautious—if someone tells you otherwise, you may not be getting the full picture. Best of luck out there.

I’m looking to apply and was just curious, did you apply for the FO position? How long after did you hear back after applying?
