Anyone in the later June 75/76 class care to share your interview date?

Feb. 14th. I'm only a messily RJ, FO. that's all I've even been....and haven't been one of those for that long.

Now that is what I call a Valentines day gift! :D

When did they call you with the class date?

Looks like the 777 is doing its first revenue flight tonight. Now that it's on the certificate, perhaps interviews and hiring will continue...

I've sent in multiple resumes without so much as a peep. Do they tend to shy away from folks with a 737 Type?

I have a 737 type, with zero time in type and they hired me. I used WIA funds to obtain it. Never even really came up. In fact, I think it helped, because the 737 sim is the closest thing to a transport category plane I have ever flown. All my other jet time was 28,660 lbs or less.

I do not think they have interviewed in Tulsa at all since about Mid March. Some of us have been in the pool since February, however, I think they are down to about 3 weeks of folks left in the pool, and there is still a need for pilots. Rumor has it interviews will likely start again in late June or July.

They don't seem to keep a stack of resumes that are "call next time we need someone." I honestly think without a walk in, it is all about having the mins, and luck in timing of your resume hitting the right desk. I have read about people applying with better qualifications than I have for a year with no call, while I applied and was called within days. I only applied once, with no internal (although I know plenty of people working there.) My theory, apply often, and via varying mediums. What could it hurt? One more thing, Omni does not send out "Thank you for your resume, but...." type emails. So don't get freaked out by no reply at all.

Love it! Great job! I think they set a new record for getting 777's added to the certificate in such a timely manor. I've worked for so many airlines that just talked about doing things, its awesome that Omni executes, and doesn't just talk the talk! :D:D:D

Newhire on the 777 - that's great for him! How does that work with seniority at Omni? I would expect some relatively senior 757/767 and DC10 FOs might want to bid the 777 FO seat too. Would they just bump the newhire out during the next bid? Is there a seat-lock for newhires?

I guess if you get more 777s to replace DC10s that won't be so much of an issue - how many more 777s are expected?

the rumor is that they want a total of 6 or 7 777's. i have been here almost a year and they said there was not a seat lock. not sure about new hires.

Seniority? There is no seniority at Omni. Not in any practical sense at least. Upgrades and equipment movement happens on merit.

seniority was used for the 777 -- there is a 2 year seat block -- that prevented some from moving and the need for some new hires going to the 777
