Charter/Cargo, how many days on the road?
I know that this information is probably among the other thousand of threads in APC.
Atlas current contract takes you away for about 17 days, but how many days do trips last at different companies (Omni, Kalitta, etc), your input is appreciated...

World is 12 days off at home minimum each month. Most trips are built to one strech of 15-19 days depending on the customer/line value. Next month (May) on the MD-11 has about 70% one trip lines, and 23% split in two trips of variable length, and 7% ugly lines with 3 reports, but variety is the spice of life and some guys/gals like those ugly ones. I've been known to bid them if I need a particular set of days at home, and it is great for FF miles accumulation, if you are trying to get to or maintain a certian tier.
With any long trips, most lines will "touch" one end of the month or the other, so the possibility of getting back to back'd is always there, but it is usually self inflicted. The contract requires that you not be kept out more than 19 days in a month, lest ye consent otherwise. Bidding is consent... be careful what you ask for, you might get it.
At World, it seems to be challenging to be scheduled at home between the 29th-2nd and the 14-18th of any given month. It's not for everybody, but it works well for some. I's been said many times before, if you (or your family) can't handle being gone for those streches, you won't last here. The trips can be long and that can suck, but I for one have grown very accoustomed to being home for 12-25 days straight (much longer with some prior planning) in any given month. YMMV...

I want to echo some points made about World. It's not for everybody. Your spouse or significant other will determine if you would enjoy working here.
The only way you'll be gone for more than 19 days or have less than 12 days off is because you bid or volunteered to do it.
It's not better or worse, it's different. Go in with your eyes wide open.

Nothing concrete as of yet. By the way, I was scheduled 18 in a row this month, but only got worked 13 of those (unless they change my schedule within the next 24 hours, which is certainly possible). Doesn't happen all the time, but there are times they might leave you at home without calling you out on your reserve days.
